NFL Week 13 picks and predictions: Giants win, Jets lose

If there's one way to make a run at the .500 mark its picking games after every NFL team has had its bye week. From here on out there's 16 games to pick and a lot of ground can be gained.

I nothing major to say this week other than I am very sad Thanksgiving is over. I miss all the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. Don't you?

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons, Thurs., 8:20 p.m. on NFL Network

Point spread: Falcons 3-point favorite.
Pick: Falcons 35, Saints 31.
Prediction: A high-scoring affair will favor Atlanta, which will take advantage of New Orleans' defense.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Bills 6-point favorite.
Pick: Bills 30, Jaguars 20.
Prediction: The Bills just need to start finding the end zone, and the perfect cure for that is playing the Jaguars at home.

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Bears 3 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Bears 27, Seahawks 20.
Prediction: Seattle is reeling right now and Chicago is playing well. If the Bears didn't have a home game I'd go against them, but they do.

Indianapolis Colts at Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Lions 4 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Colts 27, Lions 24.
Prediction: I saw the Colts play last week, they're a pretty solid team. I can't say the same about the Lions, who have been inconsistent all season.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Texans 6 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Texans 40, Titans 10.
Prediction: This one could get ugly quick.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers, 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Packers 9 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Packs 38, Vikings 17.
Prediction: This one will get ugly quick.

Carolina Panthers at Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Panthers 3-point favorite.
Pick: Panthers 20, Chiefs 10.
Prediction: Who's watching this game?

San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams, 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: 49ers 7 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: 49ers 35, Rams 13.
Prediction: Look for the 49ers to keep rolling with Colin Kaepernick.

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Patriots 9-point favorite.
Pick: Patriots 42, Dolphins 20.
Prediction: Man, I am foreseeing a lot of blow outs this week.

Arizona Cardinals at New York Jets, 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Jets 4 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Cardinals 24, Jets 17.
Prediction: This will not end well for Jets fans, who will be calling for a lot of heads after this one.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos, 4:05 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Broncos 7-point favorite.
Pick: Broncos 27, Buccaneers 24.
Prediction: I am going to keep picking against the Bucs' until I finally get it right. When that happens I'll start picking them (great logic, I know).

Cleveland Browns at Oakland Raiders, 4:25 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Raiders 1 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Browns 20, Raiders 18.
Prediction: Hey, its Browns vs. Raiders somebody is going to score 18 points.

Cincinnati Bengals at San Diego Chargers, 4:25 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Bengals 2-point favorite.
Pick: Bengals 35, Chargers 27.
Prediction: I foresee a lot of Andy Dalton to A.J. Green. I have no idea who Phillip Rivers is throwing to.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens, 4:25 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: N/A.
Pick: Ravens 24, Steelers 7.
Prediction: So far, there's no point spread attached to this game as oddsmakers are waiting on the injury report of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who more than likely will not play. Because of that, I am going with the Ravens.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys, 8:20 p.m. on NBC

Point spread: Cowboys 11-point favorite.
Pick: Cowboys 23, Eagles 13.
Prediction: Both teams are so bad there shouldn't be a double-digit point spread.

New York Giants at Washington Redskins, 8:30 p.m. on ESPN

Point spread: Giants 3-point favorite.
Pick: Giants 31, Redskins 27.
Prediction: The Giants mid-season swoon is over. Time to gear up for a Super Bowl run.
