The New York Knicks have sold the most merchandise of any other NBA team to this point in the season, according to a report by Tom Rotunno of CNBC.com on Wednesday morning. This is the first time since December of 2004 that the Knicks have done so.
The figures are calculated from sales ranging from April 2012 through Nov. 26, 2012 at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue and NBAStore.com.
New York managed to supplant the Chicago Bulls, who claimed ownership to the top spot last year (they came in fourth this year). The Miami Heat finished in second place, while the Los Angeles Lakers rounded out the top-three.
In terms of individual jersey sales, Carmelo Anthony came in at No. 4 overall, while LeBron James reclaimed the top spot after finishing fourth last year. Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder came in at No. 2 overall, followed by Kobe Bryant. Last year's top seller, Derrick Rose, came in at No. 5 overall.
