NBA Power Rankings: Nets remain in top-10

A cumulative look at where the Brooklyn Nets rank in this week's power ranking polls. Do you agree with the rankings?

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

The Brooklyn Nets remain ranked as one of the top-10 teams in the NBA, according to the power ranking polls at SB Nation, ESPN.com, FoxSports.com and NBA.com.

Currently in the midst of a three-game winning streak, the Nets have control of first place in the Atlantic Division and defeated the New York Knicks on Monday night. While the polls had already been released prior to the victory, the Nets managed to record wins against the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers. However, the team also lost games to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, which appeared to affect their standing in some of the polls.

At SB Nation, curator Seth Rosenthal moved the team up three positions from last week to No. 7 overall. Citing Joe Johnson's offensive presence, it was Brooklyn's defense that impressed Rosenthal:

Joe Johnson's offense seems to have finally arrived in Brooklyn. It was Brooklyn's defense, though, that stood out in the impressive win over the Clippers and that decisive fourth quarter against the Blazers.

At ESPN.com, the team also moved up three spots, except to No. 9 overall. At FoxSports.com, the team rose two places to No. 5 overall, which was the club's highest ranking. NBA.com's poll moved the team down one place to No. 9 overall, the only poll to do so.
