Knicks vs. Pistons recap: Anthony leads New York to victory

Carmelo scored 29 to give the Knicks a convincing win Sunday.

The New York Knicks got back on track with a decisive 121-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday afternoon.

Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 29 points to elevate the Knicks to the win. He also had three assists, two rebounds and six turnovers.

New York improved to 9-3 with the win. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak.

Detroit fell to 3-11. The Pistons were coming off a one-point win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

New York struggled in the third quarter, but cruised the rest of the time. The Knicks outscored the Pistons 32-22 in both the first and second quarters to take a 64-44 lead at halftime. The Knicks finished the game by scoring 35 points in the fourth quarter while Detroit managed 28.

Brandon Knight led all Pistons scorers with 21 points. He also had five assists and two rebounds. Greg Monroe helped the offense with 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

New York's Raymond Felton finished the game with a double-double. He had 14 points and 10 assists.

The Knicks are back in action Monday on the road against the Brooklyn Nets. Detroit will also play Monday when it hosts the Portland Trail Blazers.
