The New York Jets, fresh off a strong statement victory over the St. Louis Rams, will try to close the gap in the AFC East between themselves and the New England Patriots when the Pats come to town for a Thanksgiving night showdown in Week 12.
The 7-3 Patriots lead the division by three games, as the Jets, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are all tied for last place in the AFC East. The Jets have dropped 15 of their last 19 meetings with New England, but forced overtime in a 29-26 loss earlier this year on the road.
Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will look to replicate his performance against the Rams, where he threw for a touchdown on 15-of-20 passing, against the strong Patriots defense.
The big storyline leading up to the game has been the injury to Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who will miss the next few weeks with a forearm injury.
