The Seton Hall Pirates used a dominant final 13 minutes to blow out the Maine Black Bears at home on Wednesday night. Maine had closed to within eight points at 41-33, but the Pirates would go on a big run to end the game and pull away.
Seton Hall won the game on the strength of their perimeter defense, limiting Maine to just 1 of 17 from the three-point line. Maine also struggled to take care of the basketball, as they turned the ball over 27 times, or on a whopping 37 percent of their possessions.
Aaron Cosby led the Pirates with 19 points on 7 of 14 shooting, including 4 of 9 from downtown. Fuquan Edwin chipped in 15 points and six rebounds.
Maine was led by 18 points from Justin Edwards. The guard did a nice chunk of his damage from the line, as he tallied nine free-throw attempts on just 13 shots from the field. He also led the Black Bears in giveaways, with six.
The win moved Seton Hall to 4-1 and dropped Maine to 0-4.
