The New York Knicks tip-off a three-game road trip Tuesday against the New Orleans Hornets at New Orleans Arena (8 p.m. ET on MSG). The Knicks (7-1) will try and earn their fourth straight victory over the Hornets (3-5), who last defeated New York in New Orleans on April 4, 2008.
The Knicks are coming off a 88-76 victory over the Indiana Pacers. New York outscored Indiana 41-30 in the first half and never looked back. The Knicks were paced by Carmelo Anthony's team-high 26 points and nine rebounds while J.R. Smith added 13 points and seven rebounds.
The win was New York's sixth consecutive win at home dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, the Hornets are looking to snap a three-game losing streak. On Saturday, New Orleans lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, 117-113. Rookie Anthony Davis, the No. 1-overall draft pick, tallied his second double-double of the season (28 points and 11 rebounds).
On Wednesday, the Knicks visit the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center (8:30 p.m.).
