The New York Knicks are stil considered one of the top three teams in the NBA, according to the power rankings and polls at SB Nation, ESPN.com and NBA.com.
Entering the week as the only undefeated team left in the league, the Knicks managed to register wins against the Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs. However, New York suffered their first loss of the season when they fell to the Memphis Grizzles on Friday night. Currently holding a one-game lead over the Brooklyn Nets for first place in the Atlantic Division, the Knicks also control the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
At SB Nation, curator Seth Rosenthal has the team ranked at No. 3 overall, which is one spot lower than last week's poll. Rosenthal made note of the team's defensive play against the Pacers and believes that the unit is strong enough to win games when the offense is struggling.
At ESPN.com, Marc Stein kept the team at No. 2 overall and noted that they are the first team in NBA history to start a season with a 6-0 record and be outrebounded in every game over that span. John Schuhmann at NBA.com moved the team down two spots from last week to No. 3 overall.
