NFL Week 11 picks, predictions and odds: Jets rebound, silence critics for now

SB Nation New York's Jared Smith gives his Week 11 NFL Pick, which will more than likely be wrong.

Otto Greule Jr

Just when I think a comeback is in order for my 2012-13 season, things take a turn for the worst. And this week, I am blaming the New York Giants and Jets.

Last week, I picked the Giants to win big over the Cincinnati Bengals, however, Big Blue laid the biggest egg of the season getting throttled 31-13. Meanwhile, the Jets are just terrible -- they couldn't get out of their own way in a 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Of course, there were other games: The Chicago Bears failed to defeat the Houston Texans AT HOME!; the last unbeaten team in the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons, were, well, defeated by the New Orleans Saints; and the Buffalo Bills covered their double-digit spread with the New England Patriots.

Really, I don't know what to do anymore. I just recommended looking through my picks and placing money on the opposite.

(All point spreads provided by and Bovada.)

Miami Dolphins (4-5) at Buffalo Bills (3-6), Thurs., 8:20 p.m. on NFL Network

Point spread: Bills 3-point favorite.
Pick: Bills 30, Dolphins 24.
Prediction: Buffalo was one play away from upsetting New England last week. If its defense was any good the outcome may have been a bit different. Good thing Buffalo doesn't play New England's offense this week.

Arizona Cardinals (4-5) at Atlanta Falcons (8-1), 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Falcons 10-point favorite.
Pick: Falcons 28, Cardinals 13
Prediction: Atlanta will bounce back from last week's loss with a solid victory.

Cleveland Browns (2-7) at Dallas Cowboys (4-5), 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Cowboys 8-point favorite.
Pick: Cowboys 24, Browns 17
Prediction:Dallas SHOULD win, however, its going to be closer than Cowboy fans would like.

Green Bay Packers (6-3) at Detroit Lions (4-5), 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Packers 3 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Packers 31, Lions 21
Prediction: The Lions are just not clicking right now, while the exact opposite is happening with Aaron Rodgers and the Pack.

Cincinnati Bengals (4-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-8), 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Bengals 3 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Bengals 31, Chiefs 9
Prediction: A second straight blowout victory for the Bengals? The world is going to end in 2012.

New York Jets (3-6) at St. Louis Rams (3-5), 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Rams 3 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Jets 17, Rams 10
Prediction: You think this is a gamble don't you? Well, that's exactly what you're doing.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) at Washington Redskins (3-6), 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Redskins 4-point favorite.
Pick: Eagles 21, Redskins 20
Prediction: Philadelphia wins. That's right, the Eagles win.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-4) at Carolina Panthers (2-7), 1 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Buccaneers 2-point favorite.
Pick: Panthers 24, Buccaneers 21
Prediction: Greg Schiano's squad has a chance to really become a playoff contender. I'll believe it when it happens.

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8) at Houston Texans (8-1), 1 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Texans 15 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Texans 40, Jaguars 7
Prediction: Jacksonville has no chance on the road. Well, they would have no chance on the road either.

New Orleans Saints (4-5) at Oakland Raiders (3-6), 4:05 p.m. on FOX

Point spread: Saints 5 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Saints 30, Raiders 24
Prediction: Behind the leadership of Drew Brees, New Orleans is rolling and that's not good for the host Raiders.

San Diego Chargers (4-5) at Denver Broncos (6-3), 4:25 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Broncos 8-point favorite.
Pick: Broncos 24, Chargers 20
Prediction: Denver will enter the game a bit banged up, so this game should stay close.

Indianapolis Colts (6-3) at New England Patriots (6-3), 4:25 p.m. on CBS

Point spread: Patriots 9-point favorite.
Pick: Colts 30, Patriots 28
Prediction: New England's secondary is awful, and the Colts defense is a bit better than the Bills. Hello, Andrew Luck upset!

Baltimore Ravens (7-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3), 8:20 p.m. on NBC

Point spread: Ravens 3 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: Ravens 28, Steelers 17
Prediction: Ben Roethlisberger being out is going to be a big key in this AFC North showdown.

Chicago Bears (7-2) at San Francisco 49ers (6-2-1), Mon., 8:30 p.m. on ESPN

Point spread: 49ers 4 1/2-point favorite.
Pick: 49ers 24, Bears 23
Prediction: Don't think San Francisco will cover the spread, but they're better than Chicago.

Last week's record: 5-9-0. Season record: 67-73-5.
