St. John's vs. Detroit score: Red Storm trail Titans, 37-29, at halftime

The Detroit Titans used a 11-0 run to claim a 37-29 halftime advantage over the St. John's Red Storm in a men's college basketball game at Carneessecca Arena. The contest is a part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

Senior guard Jason Calliste has a game-high 12 points for the Titans (1-0), who's only 12-for-39 from the field (33-percent) but has made five 3-pointsers and taken advantage of the Johnnies 10 turnovers.

St. John's sophomore point guard Phil Greene has a team-high 11 points on 5-for-8 shooting. Sophomore forward Amir Garrett has six points and seven rebounds while sophomore guard D'Angelo Harrison has seven points off the bench.

Overall, Detroit is 6-for-10 from the free throw line while St. John's is just 3-for-5. The Titans have also out-rebounded the Red Storm, 23-21.

Detroit is trying to earn its second straight victory over St. John's in as many seasons. Last year, the Red Storm lost to the Titans, 69-63.
