The New York Knicks begin a three-game road trip Tuesday (7 p.m. ET on MSG) against the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center. The Magic (2-4) will try to hand the Knicks (4-0) their first loss of the 2012-13 season.
New York is coming off a 104-94 victory over the visiting Dallas Mavericks on Friday. Carmelo Anthony tallied a team-best 31 points for the Knicks, who trailed 57-55 at halftime.
Orlando lost, 82-74, to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. The Magic shot just 36.1-percent from the floor and trailed by as many as 20 points in the first half.
Overall, the Knicks are paced by Anthony's 27.4 points and 35.8 minutes per game. Forward J.R. Smith is coming off the bench and is the team's second leading scorer with 17.5 ppg.
The Magic are led by forwards Aaron Afflalo (16.7 ppg) and Glen Davis (16.3 ppg and 7.8 rebounds per game).
If the Knicks can claim a victory it would match its second-best start in franchise history. In 1969-70, New York began the season 5-0. Its best start came in '93-94 when the Knicks jumped out to a 7-0 record.
