Syracuse vs. San Diego State: Orange lead Aztecs, 33-19, at halftime of Battle on the Midway

Junior forward C.J. Fair has a game-high 11 points and collected six rebounds for the No. 9-ranked Syracuse Orange, who lead the No. 20-ranked San Diego St. Aztecs, 33-19, at halftime of a non-conference men's college basketball game, which is being played on the deck of the U.S.S. Midway in the San Diego Harbor.

Fair has made 4-for-9 shots from the floor while sophomore point guard Michael Carter-Williams has added nine points and four steals for SU, which used a 11-0 run to take an early 17-4 advantage with 11:59 to play in the first half.

Senior guard Chase Tapley and sophomore forward J.J. O'Brien both scored five points for San Diego St., which is 7-for-29 from the floor.

However, the Aztecs will have their backs to the sun and will be playing with the wind in the second half.

"The Battle on the Midway" has featured no court issues, like other military-themed college basketball games earlier in the week, as the weather is beautiful -- sunny, 63 degrees with a light breeze according to Weather.com.

It seems this game will be played in its entirety.
