Game 1 of the 2012 World Series is Wednesday, as the well-rested Tigers go on the road to play the Giants. San Francisco had to go to seven games to stamp its ticket to the World Series. The Giants beat the Cardinals, 9-0, in Game 7 on Monday night. The Tigers send ace Justin Verlander to the mound, while the Giants will counter with veteran lefty Barry Zito.
