With the preseason schedule coming to a close, the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets will preview their season-opening showdown at the new Barclays Center in preseason action Wednesday night from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.

Neither the Knicks nor the Nets have been able to string many wins during the preseason, with the Knicks posting a 2-3 record on the season after a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night, 98-90. Carmelo Anthony, who leads the Knicks in preseason action with 21.8 points per game, led the Knicks with 23 points on Tuesday, but the Knicks fell to the 76ers.

The Nets, which are 3-2 in preseason play, haven't played since last Friday, when they similarly lost to the 76ers. Center Brook Lopez leads the Nets in both points and rebounds per game in preseason play, posting 18.5 ppg and nine rebounds in action so far.

The Knicks and Nets will open their regular season on Nov. 1 at the Barclays Center.
