Giants vs. Cowboys odds: Line shifts New York from dogs to favorites

The point spread in the matchup between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys initially featured the Super Bowl Champions as two-point underdogs, but they're now either listed as even with their opponent or slightly favored.

The New York Giants opened as two-point underdogs in their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, but are now favored by as many as 1.5 points.

The first game of the NFL season was a surprising 24-17 loss for the defending Super Bowl Champions against their NFC East rival. But the teams have headed in different directions since: while Dallas has only beaten Tampa Bay and Carolina to get to 3-3, New York has won five of six, with their only loss coming on a just-short last-second field goal against Philadelphia.

The road matchup will provide a test for the Giants, but apparently bettors have sided with New York rather than Dallas as the line has shifted well in the Giants' favor. As of Tuesday, the point spread saw the Giants generally slight favorites, although some books have the matchup listed as a pick'em. Although the Giants are 5-2, they're only 3-4 against the spread, while the Cowboys are .500 both straight up and against the spread.
