Knicks vs. 76ers final: New York falls to Sixers, 98-90

Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton led the scoring for the New York Knicks in Monday night's preseason game.

The New York Knicks fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in Monday night's preseason contest, 98-90.

Raymond Felton and Carmelo Anthony were the leading scorers for New York in the loss, with 23 points apiece. Felton also had four assists and two rebounds, while Anthony added five assists and six rebounds.

Sharpshooter Steve Novak scored eight points, but was only 2-of-9 on three-point field goals.

Tyson Chandler had the most playing time for New York with almost 38 minutes of action. He scored nine points and added 11 rebounds. Jason Kidd scored only three points and had four assists in more than 23 minutes of action.

Four players scored in the double digits for the Philadelphia 76ers, and Lavoy Allen added 13 rebounds in the win. Jason Richardson led the way for Philadelphia with 23 points, six assists and seven rebounds.

The Knicks will travel to Brooklyn to play the Nets in their last preseason game on Oct. 24. One week later, the Knicks will open the regular season in the same building against the Nets on Nov. 1.

Monday's game marked the end of Philadelphia's preseason. They finished with a 6-1 record and open their regular season Oct. 31 against the Denver Nuggets.
