Providence Vs. Seton Hall: Pirates Visit Friars In Big East Contest

The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program are hoping to avoid a letdown Saturday night, as they visit the Providence Friars are the Dunkin Donuts Center (6 p.m. on SNY).

The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program will look to continue their winning ways Saturday night, as they visit the Providence Friars in a Big East Conference game at the Dunkin Donuts Center (6 p.m. on SNY). The Pirates (13-2, 2-1 Big East) look to continue their winning ways and avoid a letdown after upsetting No. 8 Connecticut Huskies Tuesday at the Prudential Center. If Seton Hall can pull out the victory it will probably be ranked in the newest college basketball rankings, released Monday, for the first time since January of 2011.

On Tuesday, Seton Hall built a 11-point halftime lead and outlasted the Huskies thanks to senior point guard Jordan Theodore, who netted all of his 19 points in the second half. For the Seton Hall it was its first victory over UConn in 11 seasons.

Meanwhile, the Friars did their best to upset No. 1 Syracuse Orange Wednesday night, but fell short, losing 87-73.
