Scoop Jardine Of Syracuse Named To 2012 Bob Cousy Award Finalist List

For the second straight year Wednesday, Syracuse University men's basketball program's senior point guard Scoop Jardine has been named one of 20 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, which is given to the nation's top point guard. Currently, Jardine is the Floor General for the No. 1-ranked Orange, and is averaging 8.6 points per game and dishing out a team-best 3.9 assists per game. Jardine also is averaging 1.7 steals per game for Syracuse, which leads the nation (172).

Syracuse fans commonly use the term, "as Scoop goes, so does the Orange," when describing Jardine's play that has helped the SU to a 15-0 record. The Orange and Jardine play at the Providence Friars Wednesday night (9 p.m. on SNY).
