BCS Standings 2012: Rutgers Football No. 39 In BCS; Not In AP, Coaches' Polls

The final 2011-12 college football rankings were released Monday night, and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football program failed to crack the top 25 in both the AP and USA Today/Coaches' polls, however, they did finish the season No. 39 in the final BCS Standings. he polls came out after the Alabama Crimson Tide dominated Southeastern Conference rival, LSU Tigers, 21-0, in the BCS National Championship Game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA.

Rutgers (9-4) finished its season with a solid 27-13 victory over Iowa St. Cyclones in the Pinstripe Bowl, Dec. 30, at Yankee Stadium.
