NFL Roster Cuts: Giants Final Roster: The New York Giants finalized their roster Saturday and there were a few surprises as the brass decided to keep newly-signed punter Steve Weatherford over Matt Dodge, who was the punter last season.

NFL Roster Cuts: Jets Final Roster: The New York Jets made two trades Saturday -- safety Dwight Lowery was sent to the Jacksonville Jaguars, while guard Caleb Schlauderaff was sent to Green Bay -- to help get to the 53-man roster limit.

Big East Football: Conference Earns Four Victories Saturday, Begins Season 7-0: The most notable Big East win came at South Bend, where the South Florida Bulls upset Notre Dame, 23-20. The Fighting Irish were ranked No. 16 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the USA Today Poll.

Meanwhile, Connecticut, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh all routed its non-conference opponents.
