In this week’s aggregated NFL Power Rankings, compiled by the folks at Real Clear Sports, the New York Jets are No. 8 and the New York Giants are No. 14. For the Jetsthat is two spots lower than in the SB Nation poll, and for the Giants it matches the SB Nation results.
Real Clear Sports uses eight well-known sources to come up with an aggregate score for their power rankings.
The 2-1 Jets received a fourth-place vote from the Sagarin Rankings despite Sunday’s 34-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders. They received 11th place votes from CBS and Pro Football Talk.
The 2-1 Giants received an 11th place vote from The Sporting News for their highest placement. FOX placed the Giants the lowest, 15th overall.
The Green Bay Packers were a unanimous No. 1 pick among all eight polls used by RCS. New Orleans, Baltimore, New England and Detroit rounded out the top five.
