College Football Rankings 2011 Week 5: South Florida, West Virginia Stay In Top 25

The LSU Tigers used the West Virginia Mountaineers of the Bog East Conference as a stepping stone to a No. 1 ranking in the AP Top 25 poll this weekend, getting to the top with a 47-21 rout of WVU. The Mountaineers and South Florida Bulls continue to represent the Big East in the top 25, however.

South Florida (4-0) is No. 16 in the AP top 25 after routing UTEP, 52-24. Despite its loss to LSU West Virginia (3-1) remained in the AP Top 25, checking in at No. 22.

In the USA Today poll Oklahoma has the top spot. South Florida is No. 14 in that poll and West Virginia No. 23.
