Here is your Week 3 Start/Sit Fantasy Football advice for those of you with members of the New York Giants on your roster. As always, we will use projections from numberFire to help in our evaluations.

START

Eli Manning (QB)
numberFire Projection: 20.29 completions, 247.82 yards, 1.74 TDs, 1.04 INTs, 15.92 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Eli has been so-so in the first two games of the season and he has to be better for the Giants offense to take a step forward. You won't get 400 or 500 yards from Eli, but provided he doesn't throw a bunch of picks he will get you a decent amount of points.

Ahmad Bradshaw (RB)
numberFire Projection: 16.63 carries, 70.16 yards, 0.34 TDs rushing; 2.85 receptions, 23.23 yards, 0.06 TDs, 11.76 Fantasy Points

Analysis: The weakness of the Eagles defense appears to be playing the run. The Giants should give Bradshaw plenty of opportunities to make big plays.

Hakeem Nicks (WR)
numberFire Projection: 4.72 catches, 65.29 yards, 0.34 TDs, 8.67 Fantasy Points

Analysis: It's simple -- if you have Nicks on your roster and you don't play him, you're nuts. I don't care how good Philly's corners are, Nicks is big, strong, physical and has huge, powerful hands. He will make some plays.

xx

SIT

Brandon Jacobs (RB)
numberfire Projection: 5.19 carries, 21.22 yards, 0.15 TDs; 0.51 pass receptions, 3.46 yards, 0.02 TDs, 3.48 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Jacobs got 16 carries Monday against St. Louis, more than he had in any game during 2010. He might be worth a gamble if you think the Giants will keep handing him the rock.

Mario Manningham (WR)
numberFire Projection: 3.65 catches, 49.34 yards, 0.36 TDs, 7.34 Fantasy Points.

Analysis: If you have another option this week, use it. Manningham is still uncertain to play due to a concussion.

Travis Beckum (TE)
numberFire Projection: 2.46 catches, 17.44 yards, 0.10 TDs, 2.35 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Do not play this guy. He has not played yet this season due to hamstring issues, and is uncertain for Sunday. Plus, the guy has never had more than two catches in any game during his first two seasons. Projecting more than that is extremely generous.

Lawrence Tynes (PK)
numberFire Projection: 1.35 field goals, 2.69 extra points, 7.26 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Make Tynes prove he is healthy and reliable before you use him.

Giants Defense
numberFire Projection: 8.31 Fantasy Points

Analysis: You're kidding, right? Do not use this group the way they have gotten torched in the secondary the past two weeks.
