The New York Jets (1-0) host the new-look Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) Sunday at MetLife Stadium (1 p.m. ET). The Jets defeated the Dallas Cowboys, 27-24, in their season opener while Jacksonville edged the Tennessee Titans, 16-14.
You can certainly make an argument that the Jets were fortunate to win Sunday night against Dallas. A pair of gifts from Dallas quarterback Tony Romo helped New York's cause. First, a fourth-quarter fumble at the goal line when the Cowboys appeared ready to take a double-digit lead. Then, a gift interception with the game tied that set up the Jets' winning points.
As Yankee broadcaster Michael Kay would say, however, the Jets will still put it on the left side (the win column) and move on.
Jacksonville is now quarterbacked by Luke McCown following the release of David Garrard. McCown completed 17-of-24 passes against Tennessee in his first start since 2007.
