New York Red Bulls Weekly Update

With no games this week for the NY Red Bulls things have been quiet, but here is a recap on what has gone down and what is on tap. 

 

  • After Hurricane Irene tore through the East Coast the Red Bulls-LA Galaxy match set for August 28th was postponed. The make up date has been announced for Oct. 4th.
  • The next match for the Red Bulls will be Saturday, Sept. 10th. The Red Bulls host Vancouver at Red Bull Arena. 
  • The match against Vancouver is one of five remaining home games the Red Bulls have. The other four remaining homes games will be against: Real Salt Lake, Portland Timbers, LA Galaxy, and Philadelphia Union
  • Don't want to wait to see some of your favorite Red Bulls play? Six Red Bulls players will be partaking in international matches starting Sept. 2nd. Juan Agudelo, Rafa Marquez, Roy Miller, Tim Ream, Dane Richards, and Buona Coundoul will suit up for their respective countries. 
  • August 31st was the soccer transfer deadline. The Red Bulls were not involved in any transactions, but neither was the rest of the MLS.
