Texas 20, Jets 16: Sanchez Sharp In Jets Loss: New York's quarterback Mark Sanchez went 6-for-7 with 76 passing yards in just one quarter of work Monday night. Despite, the strong showing from QB No. 1, the Jets lost its first preseason game as host Texans earned the victory thanks to Chris Ogbonnaya's one-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown.

Patrick Turner caught six balls for 32 yards and a TD for New York.

Mets 5, Padres 4: Jason Isringhausen Records Save 3,000: Lucas Duda went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, while Jason Pridie scored on a Scott Hairston chopper in the 10th inning to help the Mets earn the road victory. Isringhausen cemented the victory with his 3,000th save of his career. 

Before the contest, New York signed its first-round pick, outfielder Brandon Nimmo, for $2.1 million.
