Morning Coffee! Action-Packed Holiday Weekend

Good morning New York sports fans! I hope everyone is having a safe and fun 4th of July weekend. Now, if your busy schedule is hurting your sports watching then here's what you missed Saturday:

Subway Series, Game 2: Bartolo Colon pitched six strong innings, while Robinson Cano provided the offense with a two-run triple to help the New York Yankees down the New York Mets, 5-2. The Yankees have taken the first two games of the three-game set.

The Mets rookie, starting pitcher Dillion Gee tossed seven inning and allowed four runs, while star shortstop Jose Reyes left in the third inning due to hamstring injury. Reyes will have an MRI Sunday.

2011 Wimbledon Finals: On Saturday, Petra Kvitova defeated Maria Sharapova in the women's singles finals, 6-3, 6-4. Currently, the men's singles finals is underway and Novak Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal in the first set, 6-4. (If you'd like to follow along visit the SB Nation's tennis homepage.)

Coke Zero 400:  Saturday night, David Ragan won the 400-mile, night race at Daytona International Speedway, which is considered one of the major races on the NASCAR circuit. Ragan, edged Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano, who finished second and third, respectively.
