Jets Swinging For Fences? In Talks With Holmes & Asomugha

The New York Jets have formally reached out to Nnamdi Asomugha, according to Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger. Mike Tannenbaum is known for always doing his due diligence but the mere thought of Darrelle Revis and Asomugha in the same secondary, makes this news that much more exciting.

Vrentas also reported earlier in the day that the Jets were the first team to make an offer to free agent wide receiver Santonio Holmes. The Washington Redskins, considered the main competitor with the Jets for Holmes services, have already brought back Santana Moss on a 3 year, 15 million dollar deal, which could help the Jets cause.
