If a new agreement were to be completed in time, the New York Knicks would host the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden for the season opener, Nov. 2. Who wouldn't want to watch that?

↵Mets 4, Cardinals 2: Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran returned to the Mets lineup Tuesday night and helped the home team edge St. Louis. Reyes went 2-for-5 with a run scored, while Beltran went 3-for-3 with two walks, two doubles and a run scored. Both players had been out of the lineup because of injuries.
