Whether it is ESPN reporting the lockout should be coming to an end by July 21st or Pro Football Talk coming up with an even earlier date of July 17th, at this point nobody cares to hear it unless it is a true, final announcement of a deal. Yes, I do expect something to get done within in the next week or so and it couldn't get done a moment too soon, considering --
- James Harrison has went completely off the deep end. As my one friend pointed out, it is scary to imagine how much more of a bitter, selfish idiot he could come off as if he wasn't making millions of dollars a year.
- Tiki Barber keeps talking about what teams are interested in him, yet nobody seems to be reciporcating that interest.
- Antrel Rolle is talking about how the sky is the limit for the Giants, when he spent last season criticizing his coach and wishing his team acted more like the Jets.
- Pacman Jones got arrested again...and I am sure it is only a matter of seconds until Kenny Britt will be in some type of trouble. Hines Ward just picked up a DWI. DeSean Jackson is throwing out gay slurs on public radio.
So we can hold off with all the statements from the Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady about being ready to get a deal done...we don't want to hear it, we want to see it.
