2010 NCAA Baseball Tournament Scores & Results: Seton Hall Blanked By Arizona, 6-0

The Seton Hall baseball program had its season concluded Sunday afternoon with a 6-0 loss to Arizona in a NCAA Tournament contest at Olsen Field in College Station, TX. The Pirates finish the season with a overall record of 34-25, while the Wildcats advance to the region's finals against Texas A&M, who defeated SHU, 6-3, Saturday,

The Wildcats scored a run in both the top of the first and second innings to take an early 2-0 advantage. Then in the top of the fifth, Arizona scored three more runs, two of them knocked in by first basemen Cole Frenzel, to take a commanding 5-0 lead. Winning pitcher Konner Wade kept the Pirates' bats in check tossing seven innings allowing no runs and just three hits. Relief pitcher Bryce Bandilla pitched the final two innings, while second basemen Bryce Ortega went a perfect 3-for-3.

SHU's starting pitcher Brian Gilbert pitched five innings allowed five earned runs on eight hits and took the loss. Henry Warner, Greg Terhune, Ryan Harvey and Ed Ras followed Gilbert, respectively. First basemen Sean Gusrang was the only Pirate to collect multiple hits going 2-for-4, while outfielder Will Walsh and catcher Dillon Hamlin each collected a hit.
