Morning Coffee! Seasons On The Brink Edition

Two of the three SB Nation New York college baseball teams are in a win or go home situation Sunday. Both the St. John's Red Storm and Seton Hall Pirates lost games Saturday in the double-elimination tournament. The Red Storm were routed by the overall-No. 1 seed Virginia Cavaliers, 10-2, while the Pirates managed just four hits in a 6-3 loss to Texas A&M. The Manhattan College Jaspers were eliminated from the tournament with a 5-4 loss to Jacksonville State.

Yankees 3, Angels 2: CC Sabathia pitched 8 2/3 innings, while Robinson Cano and Alex Rodriguez both homered late Saturday night as New York edged host Anaheim. Mariano Rivera got the final out and earned his 15th save.

Mets 5, Braves 0: Rookie Dillon Gee had another solid start as New York used a five-run seventh inning to beat rival Atlanta. Gee improves to a very impressive 6-0 on the season.

Red Bulls 1, Crew 1: The New York Red Bulls blew a 1-0 lead in the 92nd minute to again earn another draw Saturday night. New York has earned five straight ties.
