Hold onto your hats folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride at the 2011 NBA Draft! It was already clear we were looking at one of the more unpredictable first rounds due to a lack of top tier talent and now the deck has been shuffled even more by a big three-team trade just hours before the first pick.
The Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Bobcats and Milwaukee Bucks pulled off a monster trade that includes three picks and five players.
- Milwaukee receives Beno Udrih from Sacramento and Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston and the the 19th pick in the first round from Charlotte.
- Charlotte will get the 7th pick from Sacramento and Corey Maggette from Milwaukee. The Bobcats will now have the 7th and 9th selections on Thursday night.
- Sacramento lands the 10th pick and John Salmons from Milwaukee.
Because the trade was made after 3pm, the trade will not become official until after the picks are made. That means when NBA commissioner David Stern announces the no. 7 pick Thursday night, it will still be the Kings selection.
