Good afternoon New York sports fans! Sorry, we're getting off to a late start today. Currently, I am in the Central Timezone and still adjusting to the hour difference (it's still morning here!). Anyway...
↵Cubs 3, Yankees 1: At the wedding I attended Friday, in St. Charles, IL, everyone was boasting about how the Cubbies beat down the big bad Yankees. Chicago did so by using a solid eight innings of work from starting pitcher Doug Davis, who at 35 years old allowed just three hits and three walks.
↵Angels 4, Mets 3: New York was edged by Los Angeles Friday, despite an OK start from starting pitcher Chris Capuano, who tossed six innings and allowed three runs (two unearned). The Mets also went 3-for-16 with runners in scoring position.
↵Other Mets news features star shortstop Jose Reyes, who's still in a bunch of trade talks and may join forces with super agent Scott Boras.
