The Boston Bruins lead Game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals 1-0 after one period of play at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
Boston scored at the 14:37 mark of the period when Patrice Bergeron whipped home a shot from in front after a pass from Brad Marchand found its way through traffic.
Despite trailing, Vancouver has eight shots on goal to Boston’s five. Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas has eight saves, while Vancouver’s Roberto Luongo has four.
According to NHL.com, this is the first time in the series that the visiting team has scored first. All six games in the Finals thus far have been won by the team host team.
