Jets Conclude Full Team Workouts

Today was the third and final day of the New York Jetsfull team workouts, which were held at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Despite having the on field workouts closed to the media, Mark Sanchez had this to say today (quotes courtesy of The Star Ledger) --

"A lot of guys did everything they could to make it here, so we really appreciated the effort," Sanchez said. "Flying across the country, I know Bart (Scott) had this TV show thing going on so he canceled one day to make it out, so that was important for us to get a big turnout. We made enough copies (of the playbook) for everybody here and passed them out, basically... we had our Power Points, we had our films and we went through each day exactly what we wanted to accomplish: specific routes, specific protections that all tied in together for days one, two and three."

Similar to "Jets West" there were player competitions to lighten the mood, with Kyle Wilson and Joe McKnight winning a team three-point contest and going home with designer suits as a reward. Nick Mangold also organized throwing challenges between the offensive lineman.

There were roughly 40 players in attendance, including Sanchez, Darrelle Revis, LaDainian Tomlinson, David Harris, Bart Scott, D'Brickashaw Ferguson and most of the other starters.

If the lockout isn't resolved in the coming weeks, Sanchez commented there could be more positional workouts. However, hopefully the next time the team gathers it will be in Florham Park or Cortland for training camp.
