The New York Red Bulls have championship aspirations on their minds this season, and who can blame them? In every championship quest, though, there will be tests. Tonight is one of those tests for New York as it takes on Landon Donovan and the Los Angeles Galaxy in LA.
The Red Bulls recently made a splash in the MLS power rankings, moving up to second place after a 1-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City.
The two teams have rosters filled with big-name talent. Aside from Donovan, the Galaxy feature David Beckham and former Red Bull Juan Pablo Angel. The Red Bulls, obviously, feature Rafa Marquez and Thierry Henry.
Aside from a potential championship match-up, this game also features Angel's first appearance against his former team. Angel signed with the Galaxy this off-season, despite finally finding some chemistry with Henry towards the end of the year.
Time will only tell if any emotions will spill over from his move.
But New York can't focus on that now. The Red Bulls need to focus on one of the better teams in the league, and see where they really stand in the MLS.
