Uncle Mo Scratched From Kentucky Derby Field

Uncle Mo, expected to be a top contender in Saturday's running of the 2011 Kentucky Derby, has been scratched from the race due to a stomach ailment. Owner Mike Repole announced that the horse has not recovered from a stomach ailment and, thus will not run in the 11/4 race. Uncle Mo had been the 9-2 second choice in the morning line.

The favorite is Dialed in at 4-1. We will have to wait and see throughout the day how Uncle Mo's absence affects the betting line for the 19-horse field. Uncle Mo has apparently been sick since early April, and his illness was discovered after an April 9 loss in the Wood Memorial.
