The New York Yankees lost their third straight to the Detroit Tigers on Thursday, 6-3. Developments in Detroit the past few days brought to the forefront an issue that has been simmering on the back-burner for a while -- the Bronx Bombers are simply not scoring many runs of late.

The New York Mets managed to avoid being swept by San Francisco, earning a 5-2 victory on Thursday. The Mets were led by the pitching of MIke Pelfrey and the hitting of Carlos Beltran. Here's a question: When the trade market heats up later this summer will those two players wind up as ex-Mets?
