Morning Coffee! Minnesota's Francisco Liriano Tosses No-Hitter

Good morning, New York/New Jersey sports fans! Let's get right to our first look at the regional sports scene.

A bad night on the baseball diamond for both New York teams Tuesday night. The New York Mets lost to the San Francisco Giants 7-6 in 10 innings and the New York Yankees fell to the Detroit Tigers, 4-2.

The big news in baseball Tuesday night, however, was the no-hitter thrown by Minnesota Twins' pitcher Francisco Liriano in a 1-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox. No-hitter or not, SB Nation's Jeff Sullivan was not very impressed.

There is no real change in the labor dispute between NFL players and owners, and no apparent end in sight. With that in mind, New York Giants' quarterback Eli Manning and New York Jets' quarterback Mark Sanchez have pulled members of their teams together to at least do some organized workouts focused on passing.

The NBA Playoffs are still rolling along, but all the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets have to focus on right now is the 2011 NBA Draft. Check out some of our early speculation regarding both teams.
