Good morning, New York/New Jersey sports fans! Let's begin with baseball this morning, where pitching was the story for both the New York Yankees and New York Mets on Memorial Day.
↵Colon's Complete-Game Shutout Leads Yankees To 5-0 Victory Over Oakland: 'Bionic Bartolo' and his rebuilt right arm continued Monday to do things no one thought he could do any longer. Colon, 37, pitched his first complete game since 2006 in shutting out Oakland. Granted, the weak-hitting Athletics pretty much carry toothpicks to the plate but this is still an impressive feat for a guy who did not pitch in the big leagues in 2010.
↵Mets 7, Pirates 3: Dillon Gee Continues To Amaze: Dillon Gee is another guy doing things no one thought he could. Gee improved to 5-0 Monday. Not bad for a guy who wasn't really thought to have much of a big-league future.
↵2011 NCAA Baseball Tournament: Seton Hall, St. John's, Manhattan Make Field: Seton Hall and St. John's from the Big East and MAAC champion Manhattan will all represent the region in the NCAA Baseball Tournament beginning Friday.
↵NBA Finals Schedule 2011: Miami Heat To Face Dallas Mavericks: The NBA Finals open tonight. With Jason Kidd back in the Finals for the first time since his days with the New Jersey Nets, do Nets fans have mixed emotions?
