2011 NFL Draft: New York, New Jersey Not Hotbeds For NFL Talent

With the New York Jets and New York Giants the New York/New Jersey is certainly a key region when it comes to the success of the NFL. What it is not, however, is a hotbed for developing the players who eventually get into the league.

In the recently concluded NFL Draft only five players from the region (three from New Jersey and two from New York) were among the 254 players selected in the annual draft.

Florida had the most players drafted, 36. This is predictable since eastern college football is not the same in general as what you find in other parts of the country.
