Monday was another bad day in a season that has already been filled with bad days for the New York Mets. The not-so-Amazin's lost to the Colorado Rockies, 2-1, and found out for certain that they have lost pitchers Chris Young and Jenrry Mejia to significant injuries.

The New York Yankees knew they would face tough competition this season in the American League East. They probably did not count on it coming from the revamped Tampa Bay Rays, however.

The NFL Lockout just keeps getting uglier and uglier, with talk now of the league possibly ceasing operations if it loses its current appeal.

Two terrific basketball games in the NBA Playoffs Monday night. Miami defeated Boston in overtime and Oklahoma City need three overtimes to defeat Memphis. See SB Nation for complete coverage.
