The New York Yankees try to shake off their first real disappointment of 2011 tonight when they host the Minnesota Twins in the third game of a four-game series at Yankee Stadium (7:05 p.m., YES). The teams a coming a 5-4 10-inning victory by Minnesota Tuesday in which the vaunted Yankee bullpen surrendered a 4-0 eighth-inning lead.
As far as Yankee fans are concerned, Minnesota could not be sending a better pitcher to the mound tonight to help them forget their troubles. Nothing like watching the Yankees give former Yankee Carl Pavano, who spent most of his four years as a Yankee on the disabled list, a good beat-down to make a Yankee fan feel better.
Pavano will be opposed by veteran right-hander Freddy Garcia, who will be making his first regular-season appearance for New York. Garcia won 12 games a season ago while pitching for the Chicago White Sox.
