We have been previewing the NCAA Tournament Final Four all week. Well, this evening we finally get done with the talking, the previewing and predicting. We finally get to the two match-ups that will determine which teams will play for the national championship Monday night in Houston, TX.
Which one of the Cinderella teams will still be wearing the glass slipper on Monday night? We know one of them will, since 11th-seeded VCU and eighth-seeded Butler meet in this evening's first semifinal (6 p.m. ET, CBS). Butler is seeking its second straight appearance in the title game. For VCU, the Final Four is a new frontier.
In the evening's nightcap, two storied programs will meet. The University of Kentucky, a No. 4 seed, will meet third-seeded UConn. The Wildcats knocked off the tournament's overall top seed, Kansas, in the Elite Eight to reach the Final Four. Connecticut won the Big East Conference tournament with five victories in five nights and has continued its amazing run throughout the NCAA Tournament.
