NCAA Championship Game 2011: Butler Vs. UConn, Game Time, Schedule, TV

The No. 8-seeded Butler Bulldgos will face the No. 3-seeded UConn Huskies in the NCAA Tournament National Championship Game on Monday. The contests is set to tip off at 9:23 p.m. at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX.

Butler (28-9) beat No. 11 VCU Rams, 70-62, to advance to its second consecutive National Title game. Last year, the Butler basketball program lost to the Duke Blue Devils, 61-59, in the national title game in their native city of Indianapolis, IN.

The other end of the March Madness bracket featured the No. 4-seeded UConn basketball program beating No. 4 Kentucky Wildcats, 56-55. UConn (31-9) will appear in its first NCAA Title game since 2004 when they beat Georgia Tech.

This will be the first time since 1989 that a No. 1 or 2 seed will play in the NCAA Tournament finals. That year, a pair of No. 3 seeds, Michigan and Seton Hall, earned their way to the title game, which featured the Wolverines defeated the Pirates, 80-79, in overtime.
