Saturday worked out perfectly for the New York Rangers. They defeated the New Jersey Devils, 5-2, then watched the Carolina Hurricans lose to Tampa Bay. That puts the Rangers in the playoffs. A year ago, the Rangers fell short on the final day of the season.
