Good morning, New York-area sports fans! March Madness is in full bloom today, and Spring is inching closer. So, let's get started.
↵Six of the 11 Big East Conference teams invited to the NCAA Tournament are in action today. Jared Smith has your Big East schedule, including TV times and stations. We also have a breakdown of the TV times and stations for all of the first-round games. Howard Megdal offers some thoughts on how those 11 Big East teams will fare. Stay here for your tournament coverage as we will have much, much more throughout the day.
↵There will also be sporting life beyond the NCAA Tournament today. The New Jersey Nets, for instance, will put their five-game winning streak (no, that is not a mis-print) on the line tonight against the Chicago Bulls. As crazy as it may seem, the Nets have an outside shot at the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The New York Knicks are also in action, hosting the Memphis Grizzlies.
↵In the NHL, the New Jersey Devils continue trying to claw their way into the NHL playoffs when they face the Ottawa Senators tonight. The Devils are six points out of the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.
