Yogi Berra Hospitalized After Fall

Scary moment at New York Yankees Spring Training today as Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Berra fell and had to be taken by ambulance to a local hospital. From the hospital, Berra, 85, said he is "feeling fine."

Berra reportedly tripped and fell in the visitors clubhouse prior to the Yankees game today against Philadelphia. The popular Berra is, of course, one of the last remaining links to the dominant Yankees teams of the past and is always a welcome figure around Spring Training.

"He looked OK before going to the hospital," said Yankees star Jorge Posada, often tutored by Berra in spring camp over the years. "It was scary when I heard it. We were in the (batting) cage and heard that he fell down. I just hope he's OK."

Berra always attends Yankees' Spring Training, freely offering advice and opinions to players and coaches. Berra was hoping to be released from the hospital later today.
