The Knicks are in Philadelphia this evening to open up a meaningful pair of games with the Sixers. At 25-23, New York currently sits three games ahead of Philly (22-26) in the Eastern Conference standings. After a 3-13 start, the Sixers have clawed their to the top of the below-.500 clubs and are nipping at the Knicks' heels for the East's sixth seed. Along with seeding, tonight's game and Sunday's rematch in New York could have tie-break implications if the two teams remain close at season's end. The 76ers won the first match-up between the two back in early November as the Knicks went cold from the field and allowed the Philadelphia guards to torch them from outside.
The injury-ridden Knicks should be back at relatively full strength tonight. Wilson Chandler will return to the rotation, if not the starting lineup, and Amar'e Stoudemire and Raymond Felton will both be back at it despite their various strains, sprains, and bruises.
